The Advanced Ceramics Manufacturing facility manufactures ceramics components for military, aerospace and industrial applications. Founded in 2001, ACM, produces a broad range of ceramic preforms and blanks that are used in wear resistant, cutting, and metal forming operations. Furthermore, the low CTE ceramics are molded as water soluble lost core mandrels, used to manaufacturer complex hollow composites, called FASTCORE. The 15,000 square foot factory, in sunny Tucson, AZ, fabricates complex geometries using patented green processing technology. State-of-the-art equipment, for ceramic consolidation and finishing operations include sinter, hot press and HIP operations. |
