Aquacore™ Premium
Aquacore™ Premium
comes premixed and must be packed by hydraulic press and formed into
the desired geometry. Aquacore ™ Premium is ideal for manufacturing
mandrels from blank billets. It has been specifically designed for
strength and decreased porosity to ensure smooth lines and tight
tolerances while being machined.
As with all of our water-soluble materials, Aquacore™ Premium is
compatible with most commercial epoxy and cyanate resin ester systems with
cure temperatures below 380°F. It can be washed away from the final
composite part quickly using tap water. Aquacore™ Premium is nontoxic
and environmentally friendly.
ACM is able to supply you with custom formulations of our water-soluble
mandrel materials. For example, we can provide you with a high-temperature
version, a formulation with better machinabilty, increased strength, etc.
